About The Walled Garden

Jim and Marion Mountain started The Walled Garden nursery in 1987. Both trained in horticulture at Oaklands, Herts College of Agriculture and Horticulture. Between them, they worked at many notable nurseries including Hilliers, Rochfords, Clarke and Spears and Knaphill Nurseries, before joining an organisation which grew 20% of the salads consumed in this country.They have since been joined by up to 9 members of staff all of which are keen gardeners.  Some are fully trained, others pass through and gain from the valuable experience that the nursery provides. We pride ourselves in both our customer service and the depth of experience that we have and are happy to pass it on.

In addition our team, Malt the nursery cat arrived in mid 2016.  He’s settled in and you will see him flying around the nursery causing trouble…
